Unfortunately, Firebase now requires you to sign up with a credit card in order to use their storage service.

However, you can still follow along for free since they still provide a generous free tier - i.e., as long as you don't exceed that tier (which you won't, if you just follow along with this course example and you don't upload lots of images), you can use their storage for free.
